ABOUT THE PROJECT

We were commissioned to produce bespoke promotional videos for the "TheOcamino for Desmos" initiative, organised in close collaboration with Desmos Non-Profit Foundation to help raise donations for its work.

We proposed the creation of two distinct marketing videos. Firstly, a longer web promo to accompany the press release and feature on landing pages. Secondly, a shorter social media video ad aimed at bolstering the organic social media campaign.

Our vision was to create a captivating storytelling experience that would engage viewers by forging a strong connection with the initiative and the cause it stands for. To achieve this, we made use of both live-action and archival footage and designed an original, immersive sound design to further accent the visuals.


OUR APPROACH

The “Camino de Santiago” or the “Way of St. James” is a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, a region in the northwest of Spain.

According to medieval legend, the remains of Apostle Saint James the Great were buried there until they were discovered by a shepherd in the 9th century. The Camino de Santiago has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage for its important role in encouraging cultural exchanges between people from all over the globe for many centuries.

Today, besides a pilgrimage, it is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime spiritual experience.
