George Sarantinos — Audio Post-Producer

Born in London and raised in Athens, Greece, George holds dual nationality; English and Greek.

From 2015 until 2018 he studied Music Technology at the University of York, where he acquired knowledge and skills pertaining to the creative and technical aspects of Audio and Music. Subsequently, he completed a Taught MSc in Audio and Music Technology at the same university. This time he focused on the technical side of audio: Acoustics, Digital Signal Processing, and Ambisonics.

Since 2020, George has been working as a Freelance Sound Designer and Audio Post-Producer. He has worked on a wide range of audio-visual projects, including a 54-episode historical documentary series titled "Small Lessons for a Big World” for the Hellenic Parliament Television Network (Vouli TV), for the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), several short and feature films including “Listen to Me” and “Life is a Journey”, the ambisonic audio for a 360-degrees virtual reality video "Virtual Diver", and numerous podcasts such as “Agries Melisses” and “Walking with the Philhellenes”.

The feature film demo "Winter with Valmira", for which George did the entire Audio Post Production, was presented at "Festival de Cannes" in July 2021, as part of the "Thessaloniki Goes to Cannes" event. At the same time, George began working as a Sound Engineer taking on Location Sound for films, videos and podcasts.

He strongly believes that aside from any technical skills, perceptiveness and imagination are pivotal qualities towards creating an immersive and impactful sound design. He is in a constant state of exploration, striving to obtain a deeper understanding of audio as a creative field, with the ultimate goal of further enriching the bespoke work he produces for clients.
