We were commissioned to create a web promo for our client’s new initiative, #SpeakUpGreece.

The initiative aimed at raising awareness and ending the stigma surrounding mental health. It acted as a safe space where anyone could anonymously and securely open up about their experiences with mental health, share strength and inspiration by speaking openly about their own story, engage in discussions with people who have had similar experiences and empower themselves through a digital community which would allow them to find their voice.

Firstly, we proposed recording a voice-over to add a human touch to the narrative. In addition, having the client herself appear in most shots put a face to her brand and established a personal connection with her target audience.

Drone shots were used to give prominence to the natural surroundings and create a sense of tranquillity, internal balance, and self-reflection to fit in with the overarching theme of mental health. We deliberately chose to use anamorphic lenses since they provide a wider horizontal field of view from spherical lenses, allowing us to include as much of the nature surrounding the protagonist as possible. The inborn optical imperfections of anamorphic lenses, such as the horizontal flares and bokeh, add character, depth and dimension to the visuals.

We created the web promo with a 2-minute duration in mind (for YouTube viewing) to ensure greater flexibility should content repurposing for different social media platforms be needed in the future.
